As speculations continue about the future of Jose
Mourinho, who was sacked on Thursday by
Chelsea, one of the club’s he has managed in his
illustrious career, Real Madrid, said they do not
want his services – at least not for now.
Club President, Florentino Perez, said though it
was difficult to say what could happen in the
future, the Portuguese is not coming back to the
Santiago Bernabeu in the nearest future. Perez affirmed that the club was happy with
present manager, Rafa Benitez and so will not be
requiring Mourinho’s services.
“No one can see into the future, but right now he’s
not coming back to Real Madrid. Rafa Benítez is
capable of solving the problems we have. That’s
the only option we’re considering.
“I have very good memories of working with
Mourinho; he raised our competitive level. It
wasn’t a dark period. Under him, we returned to
our rightful place,” he declared.
